Our catechism is overfull with joy. It’s Barbara’s day

The catechism celebrated St.Barbara’s day with the kids.The children who were dressed in beautiful costumes were divided into several groups and their smiles and joy filled the air, then our catechists told the story of the Holy St.Barbara and prepare various games and dances to activate the children during the celebration, at the end everyone shared a meal of wheat which symbolize to St.Barbara’s day

A glimpse of Saint Barbara: She is one of the saints of antiquity of Christianity, she is called the Great in the Martyrs, the Barbara holiday is celebrated with special traditions, as adults, children and youth disguise themselves, and we sing to Saint Barbara a special song, and we eat the wheat that symbolizes the sacrifice of the Saint Barbara, the meaning of the wheat if the wheat grain not die it will not give so much.
