“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

In a play scene, John the Baptist entered the church in an impressive way at our catechism mass, calling the children for repentance in Advent: “Repent, prepare the way of the Lord And make his paths straight”, to attract their attention when Father Ibrahim started asking John the Baptist (former) questions to explain his mission, and how everyone of us can follow his example in our life to prepare the road for the birth of the Savior in our lives and others’ life as well. In our religious meetings in the classes with children, we talked about the holy secret of repentance and Reconciliation, as the only way to behave well and backfill all our weaknesses to reach GOD. At the end of the meeting, we celebrated St.Barbara’s day and shared a meal of wheat which symbolize St.Barbara’s day

A glimpse of Saint Barbara: She is one of the saints of antiquity of Christianity, she is called the Great in the Martyrs, the Barbara holiday is celebrated with special traditions, as adults, children and youth disguise themselves, and we sing to Saint Barbara a special song, and we eat the wheat that symbolizes the sacrifice of the Saint Barbara, the meaning of the wheat if the wheat grain not die it will not give so much.
