In the parish, we celebrated the feast of In the parish, we celebrated the feast for St-Anthony of Padua, the shepherd saint of monks in the province of the Custody of the Holy Land.
In the morning mass with the children, Father Ibrahim Al-Sabbagh, the pastor of the church, explained the biography of the St-Anthony. At the end of the mass, we distributed the blessed bread to the children.
We also celebrated the feast of the saint in the parish mass in the evening, in the presence of the members of the fraternity of St-Anthony
With a crowd of believers, Father Ibrahim focused in his homily on the fragrant biography of the saint and called for emulation of him in all areas of life, that saint who was distinguished by his patient confidence and faith that moves mountains, and with his intelligence and love, he was able to open a loophole even in the most stubborn hearts.
His word did not die but remained alive among us, and with it he practiced the service of preaching and teaching theology, as well as defending the rights of the weak and the oppressed before the rulers.
He is the owner of a fragrant biography and a man of responsibilities, he was winning souls with the power of prayers and good examples, and how many families and how many homes he was able to consolidate harmony, trust and patience.
He is the miraculous saint whose reputation spreads everywhere, and in his name he distributes bread to the poor every Tuesday, until this day.
At the end of the mass, the blessed bread was distributed, then there were memorial photos with the fraternity.
In the monastery garden there was a meeting with the fraternity and congratulations., the patron saint of monks in the province of the Custody of the Holy Land.
