At the same time as the funeral in Lebanon, where our beloved Bishop will be buried, a Mass and a funeral were held for the rest of his soul in Aleppo, in the city that he loved and where he served, in the church where he used to hold Masses and celebrate with the people of his parish…

Our beloved Bishop, Armando Bortolaso, was today in everybody’s hearts, we said farewell in silence and love… between the hands of God we left him… with all the faith and confidence that he is in a better place.

In a Holy Mass headed by our Bishop George Abu Khazen and the participation of Father Ibrahim Alsabagh, Father Firas Loutfi, Father Pierre Jaboulian, Father Luciano from the Salesians of Don Bosco, Father Hugo incarnate word order, the Mass was attended by a crowd of Bishops, priests, sisters, and parishioners.

Our Bishop and the parish priests accepted the condolences in the salon of the convent.

God have mercy on the soul of our beloved Bishop… echoing the words of St. Paul “To live is Christ and to die is gain”.

Christ has risen.
